Klipper Extruder Calibration
E-STEPS / ROTATION_DISTANCE
Calculate the correct
rotation_distance for Klipper (or e-steps for Marlin) by measuring actual vs requested extrusion.
STEP 1 — Mark & Measure
mm/step
mm
mm
▸ HOW IT WORKS
Mark the filament 120mm from the extruder, command 100mm extrusion, then measure the remaining distance to your mark. The formula: new_value = current × (requested / actual)
Flow Rate / Extrusion Multiplier
EM CALIBRATION
Dial in your extrusion multiplier by printing a single-wall cube and measuring wall thickness.
PARAMETERS
mm
×
mm
▸ HOW IT WORKS
Print a single-wall square/cube with 1 perimeter. Measure the wall with calipers at multiple points and average. Formula: new_EM = current_EM × (nozzle_dia / measured_thickness)
PID Tuning Helper
HOTEND / BED
Generate Klipper or Marlin PID commands and understand the output values.
PID VALUES
°C
▸ KLIPPER COMMAND
Run PID_CALIBRATE HEATER=extruder TARGET=220 in Klipper console. Then SAVE_CONFIG to write values automatically.
Print Speed Calculator
VOLUMETRIC FLOW
Find the maximum safe print speed based on your hotend's volumetric flow limit.
PARAMETERS
mm³/s
mm
mm
%
▸ FORMULA
max_speed = volumetric_flow / (layer_height × line_width)
Typical hotend limits: V6 ~10–15 mm³/s, Volcano ~20–25 mm³/s, CHT ~30+ mm³/s.
Filament Weight / Length
SPOOL CALCULATOR
Convert between filament weight, length, and volume. Great for estimating remaining spool.
PARAMETERS

Retraction Tuner
STRINGING GUIDE
Get recommended starting retraction settings based on your extruder type and hotend.
YOUR SETUP
▸ TUNING TIP
Always use a retraction test tower. Start at the minimum, increase by 0.5mm steps until stringing stops. More retraction = more wear and potential jams.
Layer Time Estimator
PRINT TIME
Estimate total print time from layer count, print speed, and average perimeter length.
